What personal data we collect and why we collect it
The personal information collected may include:

How do we collect your information?
Information is collected when you submit information through the contact form, or through cookies when you visit the website. See the cookies policy below for more information.
There are no comments activated on the site at this time. However, if comments are added in the future, when visitors leave comments on the site we will collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Information received through contact forms are maintained as part of WordPress services on this site, and may be maintained through email programs. You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

NOTE: These settings are contained within WordPress, the website service used to create this site. Alyssa Alexander doesn’t even know how to collect, set, or access the cookies. She’s just not techie that way!

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
AAR LLC collects information about the services you use and how you use them through WordPress/Jetpack analytics and Google Analytics:

Note that the majority of this information is anonymous, and no personal information such as race, gender, physical address or other personal information is gathered unless you provide it. Who we share your data with
No one. Alyssa hates that. AAR LLC will not sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to any third parties or external organizations.
You can unsubscribe from the blog, comments or newsletter at any time by unsubscribing at the bottom of the newsletter or a blog post received via email. You can also email or contact AAR LLC at the contact information above.
You may also contact AAR LLC at any time about what personal data is held (if any), request changes to that data, request the data be deleted, or express any concerns you may have.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Your contact information will only be used to contact you as per the contact form and if we continue to work together Your information will not be shared with any outside third party unless required by law.

Any collected data is maintained by WordPress, Mailchimp, Google, etc., and accordingly, is protected through those secured service providers. Any information exported and maintained locally is protected by firewalls and security programs to the best of AAR LLC’s ability.

In the event of a known breach, every effort will be made to notify you via within seven (7) business days.

Data is received through WordPress, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics, to the extent it is provided by you.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
Nothing, except note through Google Analytics the pages viewed and clicked links, to determine whether the website provides visitors with the information they are seeking. However, that data is anonymous, and is maintained through Google Analytics.
